10 April – Frederic Chopin and His Nostalgia
The Istanbul Photography Museum is hosting an exhibition paying homage to the great Frederic Chopin. Polish photographer Tomek Sikora, the founder of the Homeless Gallery, which promotes independent photography in many countries, combines impressionism and realism in a series of photographs that premiered in Warsaw four years ago, on the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth. The project concentrates the composer’s moods in photographic images, in which Sikora shows the Poland of Chopin’s dreams. The exhibition can be visited until 30 April. The gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 11 a.m. and 7.30 p.m.
