13 August – Turkish Society through Paintings
Sakip Sabanci Museum is hosting ‘While a Country is Changing’, a collection of the works of significant Turkish painters. The permanent exhibition showcases examples of Turkish paintingfrom the Ottoman Reformation period to the Republic, providing a journey through time and displaying the varying styles of Turkish painters through the course of history. On display areworks of art by renowned names like Ibrahim Calli, Hoca Ali Riza and the largely celebrated eccentric of Turkish painting, Fikret Mualla. The museum, in Emirgan on the Bosphorus, is open every day except Mondays. Contact reception for more information.
