16 September – Zero: Count-Down to the Future
An important retrospective of the Zero group, one of art history’s most viral movements will be hosting at Sakip Sabanci Museum for the first time. Many Zero artists are known for their work in movements such as Op Art, Minimalism, Kinetic Art, and Nouveau realisme, while Zero auctions and exhibitions at Sotheby’s and the Guggenheim have increased interest in the movement in recent years. Described as the postwar avant-garde art historical moment, the Zero began in the 1950s under the influence of artists Heinz Mack and Otto Piene. The exhibition can be visited until 10 January.
