23 September – See Istanbul through New Lenses
Nestled in the historic Beyoglu district, Pera Museum is celebrating its tenth anniversary with an inspiring artwork composed of 10,000 eyeglass lenses placed on its façade. The museum’s impressive building was originally conceived as the Bristol Hotel in the late 19th century. Now ‘sea/see/saw’ invites viewers to re-examine this familiar space through a new perspective. The installation also intends to mirror the dynamic and shimmering surface of the Golden Horn, and can be seen until 16 January.
