24 July – Contemporary Art in the City
Located in Maslak, the district full of skyscrapers,Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art is the first non-profit institution dedicated to contemporary art. The collection includes works by Turkish and international artists such as Andy Warhol, Barbara Kruger and Paul McCarthy. Aiming to promote international contemporary art in the city, the museum also houses conference and project rooms. Don’t miss the little reading area where you can find art books and magazines. The museum is open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., and on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
