31 December – The World’s Biggest Museum
Darphane-i Amire, the imperial mint of Ottoman times, hosts an exhibition on the history of Turkey, spanning from the Paleolithic to the Republic. ‘The World’s Biggest Museum: Turkey’ brings together photographs of objects and videos of historical sites, representing different regions and epochs of Anatolia. The exhibition introduces guests to the cultural heritage of numerous historical civilisations including the Hittites, Seljuks, Byzantines and Ottomans. Before it leaves on a tour of London, Paris, Frankfurt and Moscow, you can visit the exhibition here in Istanbul until 31 December.
