09 April – Volodos Plays Beethoven
The Russian pianist Arcadi Volodos started playing the piano at eight and studied at the St. Petersburg, Moscow and Paris Conservatories. He appeared on the international concert scene in 1990s, rapidly rising to become one of the leading stars of the time. Volodos received the German award Echo Klassik as the best instrumentalist of 2003, and the Gramophone Award for best instrumental recording in 1999. In his Istanbul performance he will be accompanied by Borusan Philharmonic to play works by Beethoven and Mahler. The concert is at Lütfi Kırdar Anadolu Auditorium, 8 p.m.
